Kids Getting on School Bus

On the of primary questions asked by people who are looking to relocate to San Luis Obispo county is “How are the schools?”

Quite frankly, there really isn’t an “all inclusive” answer to that question, as what is important to one person may not be as important to another.  Some parents are looking for academic achievement, others are interested in the sports programs, and some are interested in the “arts.”

For those who are interested in the overall academic performance of the students in a school, the California Department of Education released the results of the Academic Performance Index.  The Tribune published the results of that report today.    They put the results in an easy-to-read table that allows you to compare the test results among all the public schools in San Luis Obispo county, including elementary, middle and high school.
